RSPCA Happy Tails Day

G'day Dog Lovers,

I thought I'd take the opportunity to make you aware of Happy Tails Day - a national fundraising event for the RSPCA on October 10. Across Australia, they hope to have as many people as possible wearing plush tails and ears to show they care about animals and support the work of the RSPCA.

This year, there's a new range of merchandise including a pen, soft toy, lapel pin, wristband and new look plush ears and tails. So show your support of animals and help raise money for the RSPCA by encouraging your friends, family and workmates to purchase an item from the 2008 Happy Tails Day range.

Happy Tails Day merchandise can now be purchased from your local RSPCA, their online shop at www.rspca.org.au as well as from the outlets of businesses like Big W, Bendigo Bank, Peter Alexander and Lush.

The main purpose of Happy Tails Day is to raise much-needed funds to support the RSPCA’s work in caring for and protecting Australia’s animals. Each year in Australia, the RSPCA accepts around 138,000 animals from the community and investigates more than 42,000 complaints of animal cruelty and neglect; yet nationally, government funding makes up only around 2% of its income. That’s why the RSPCA depends so much on the support of individuals, businesses and other community groups to continue this vital work.

So remember that date - October 10 is Happy Tails Day!

Hi dog-lovers, as a fellow animal lover i've always supported the RSPCA.. and 'Happy Tails Day' is a great way for everyone to get involved and support the RSPCA. With all the cost of desexing, vaccinating, worming and other medical treatment adds up to a big bill for the RSPCA and they relie on public donations for all this money! I've already bought a 'Happy Tails Day' wrist band this year and last year i bought a badge. Please everyone support the RSPCA and other Animal Shelters such as the Animal Welfare!!!!
