R.I.P. World's Ugliest Dog

Miss Ellie, a hairless Chinese Crested that was crowned the world's ugliest dog, has died at the age of 17.

This dog with a face for radio won the World's Ugliest Dog Contest last year thanks largely to her bug eyes, pimples and droopy tongue. Miss Ellie was adopted when she was 7 years old and lived with her owner and 13 other rescue dogs.

As well as taking out the ugliest dog title, Miss Ellie helped her owner raise thousands of dollars to help other rescue animals.

In the city of Pigeon Forge where she lived, November 12 has now been declared "Miss Ellie Day" in her memory.
