IT'S A WONDERFUL (DOGS) LIFE

Hello fellow dog enthusiasts! My name is Millie and I am the new editorial assistant and kids club coordinator here at Dogs Life magazine, and I can't wait to get stuck into the job. I absolutely love our four-legged friends (somewhat important when you are dealing with them all day everyday) and I personally believe that they are one of life's great joys.

I own an eight-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback called Tully, who is completely driven by food. This 'talent' has caused her to eat toast out of a toaster, eat my Gramps' hearing aid, lick the hotplate of a BBQ (she learnt her lesson there) and sneak off with an entire sponge cake - just to name a few. That said, I wouldn't trade her for the world, a sentiment I know all dog lovers share, because even when she does something naughty or I realise that my dinner has been swiped clean from my plate, she gives me so much joy and companionship that it's all worth it.

Anyway, I'll be sure to keep you updated with all the office antics and what's going on in the world of our canine friends. Keep the posts, emails, photos and letters coming because we love hearing from you. Oh, and don't forget to look out for our #89 May/June 08 edition of Dogs Life magazine which is packed with loads of great stuff for you and your dog.
Till next time!
Millie

Tully is just adorable! I am just in love with the ridgeback breed. My ridgeback Sharna sadly passed away in September last year due to a paralysis tick. I now own a ridgeback/lab mix however she is more like a lab and sure knows how to get herself into trouble.

Hi, I am Ipitombi (Tombi) and 20 mths young. I have been born at a reputable breeder, a litter of 8 and have long hair. When I was 6 mths of age, my adopted 'parents' had me spayed and I feel great. I make many friends and don't have to be afraid of getting pregnant..My mum is doing all the training, which is necessary for any dog. I love Life, it's sooo good! People should only purchase us if they do fully understand what is involved! Long years of commitment to us! No mates of mine should be sold in pet shops or puppy mills. There must be a solution... soon!!!

Saskia, I am so sorry to hear about Sharna. It's like loosing a member of your family, but the times you have with them are definitely worth it. A Ridgie x Lab.....that sure does sound like trouble!
Tombi, you sound like a very happy little puppy! Your owners sound very responsible and no doubt you're very treasured by them.

Thanks for the posts guys - we LOVE reading them and will try to respond as quickly as possible.
